4 months agoA.R’s is a staple of freeport for homemade mexican food, my wife and I just went there again and the food was so good I was compelled to write this. They do everything right, give them your money. You won’t be disappointed.

9 months agoThe food was okay they give you a lot but the flavor's not the greatest and the fajita beef was tough. I heard their breakfast burritos are really good I will probably try again. Unfortunately there's a Mexican restaurant on every corner too much competition when you're only mediocre in taste and value.

a year agoThis is a GREAT hole-in-the-wall, locally owned, scratch kitchen, mexican restaurant. I make it a point to grab breakfast here at least once if I am in Surfside. Their chips, salsa and tortillas (both corn and flour) are made in house. They have daily specials and offer 2 breakfast platters for $22. They are generous with the food they serve so come hungry! The breakfast "taco" is really a burrito and I can never eat it all. My BF said they make the best Huevos Rancheros he has ever had. This last trip, they had just made barbacoa so I got that. It was melt in your mouth tender. The service is awesome and you might have to wait a minute for your food to arrive because they are making it right then. If you decide to get tortillas to go, let them know when you place your order.

a year agoI am a huge fan of Chilaquiles and AR’s get a solid 5 stars! Everything from the carne guisada, homemade tortillas, and to all the homemade dishes are absolutely perfection! The portions are huge! Bring your appetite! Great value for the quality and huge portions. Our uncle who has been a long time customer introduced us to AR’s and we return every chance we get!

a year agoBreakfast burrito was cold and and tortilla was old and burnt charged 9.00 dollars over priced average burrito started charges for sauce where other places provide free sauces. I can get two for the price and way better quality Breakfast burrito. Just ask prices before ordering on menu different and they tell you different at register. Definitely better prices and Breakfast burritos around.

a year agoThey give you alot of food on this breakfast burrito. I was full past lunch. I ordered a Bacon, egg and potatoe burrito. The bacon is hearty and cooked perfect. The wait was only 8 min. This is definitely one of my favorites places for breakfast tacos.
